As a software engineer, Christopher Antila develops and maintains the software behind RILM products. His primary responsibility is the Egret Delivery System, the platform hosting MGG Online and RILM Music Encyclopedias.

Antila works from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He prioritizes “inclusive design” which is the near-impossible task of making websites effective for all people on any device at any time. As a music researcher, Christopher’s work tends to use unusual methods or objects of investigation, with the intention of recovering his real-life experience of music. He has also worked with a research project using computers to study counterpoint, a music notation startup, and a database of medieval liturgical chant, among other organizations.
